Pet Classifieds.Us, which offers classifieds for pets, is a good place to find American Kennel Club (AKC) purebred animals.

If you are looking to adopt a family pet I would highly recommend you look into Petfinder at www.petfinder.com or your local Humane Society at www.Pets911.com as a first choice. These organizations have an over abundance of pets that have been rescued and are in desperate need of a home. Many of the pets have been saved from local pounds where they surely would have ended up euthanized had they not been rescued. Plus these rescue organizations exist right in your own local community. There are so many abused and abandoned animals in our society that we must take care of these forgotten ones first. Keep that in mind when looking at classifieds for pets.

Another site that has classifieds for pets is PetsAds at www.petsads.com. They are similar to Pet Classifieds.Us in that they allow a seller of a pet to advertise for free and an advertiser to place a pets wanted ad at no cost. PetsAds does not have as large a selection as Pet Classifieds.Us but it is still a good resource for classifieds for pets.

Craigslist at Craigslist.org is another good site that has classifieds for pets. You can find pets in your local area by choosing the Craigslist site in or near your local city. The great thing about Craigslist is that it gets an enormous amount of traffic and the “pets” location in the “community” section is heavily visited. You can put up an ad for free to locate a pet you want or you can put up an ad for a pet you want to sell or give away.

In conclusion, pet sellers and prospective pet buyers have three good resources, Pet Classifieds.Us, PetsAds, and Craigslist as sites that contain classifieds for pets. My personal advice to those looking for a pet is to consider adopting one from a local pet rescue that can be found through the Petfinder site or their local Humane Society. Remember, pet adoption saves the lives of pets that may otherwise end up killed by the public shelter system.
